Welcome to Troop Mahjong Society - TMS Welcome Party Recap
When I dreamed up Troop Mahjong Society I imagined a world where women could gather around the table, not just to play mahjong, but to connect, celebrate, and build something beautiful together.
On a warm and joy-filled evening in the Texas Hill Country that dream came to life at the Troop Mahjong Society Welcome Party.
A Party with Purpose
Hosted in a sun-drenched ballroom with sweeping views and tropical carpets, the TMS Welcome Party was more than just a soirée—it was a celebration of community. Over 50 incredible members from all across Texas and beyond came dressed in their chicest prints and brightest smiles to kick off our journey together.
We sipped cocktails, shared stories, and of course, played a few fabulous rounds of mahjong. Some members met their first-ever tablemates, while others reunited with familiar faces from past lessons and pop-ups. As laughter echoed through the room, it was clear: this wasn’t just a club—it was the start of something deeply special.
We also revealed more about the three tribes campers will be sorted into at Camp Troop Mahjong. The Troop Mahjong Tribes are; Dot, Bam, and Crak—each with its own unique energy and aesthetic.
Our tribe mood boards were on display, with chic visuals capturing each group’s spirit:

• Bam Tribe: The Free-Spirited Adventurers
The night wouldn’t be complete without our signature TMS Merit Stickers inspired by the nostalgia of Girl Scout badges but with a mahjong twist. All attendees earned their Troop Mahjong Society Welcome Party Merit Sticker. Every Troop Mahjong sticker is a badge of honor with a little memory attached to it.
The night carried on with laughter and meaningful conversations around the tiles.
This welcome party was just the beginning. With open play nights, camp experiences, and new friendships blossoming, the Troop Mahjong Society is officially in full swing.
