Camp Troop Mahjong 2025 Recap – A Weekend of Friendship, Fun, and Tiles

From July 31 to August 3, 2025, mahjong lovers from near and far gathered at the beautiful La Cantera Resort & Spa in San Antonio, Texas for the first-ever Camp Troop Mahjong. Hosted by Troop Mahjong Society founder, Kristel Powell, the weekend brought together a vibrant community of women for three unforgettable days of play, style, and sisterhood.

Arrival & Sorting Ceremony

The energy was electric as campers arrived in sequins, vintage-inspired dresses, and bold prints, ready for the first event of the weekend — the Troop Mahjong Sorting Ceremony. Under colorful balloon arches, each camper received a sealed envelope revealing their tribe: Dots, Bams, or Craks.

Each Troop Mahjong tribe has its own colors, mascot, and personality:

• Dots – Elegant, charming, and detail-oriented

• Bams – Adventurous, vibrant, and quick-thinking

• Craks – Bold, strategic, and fiercely loyal
